seasonal closure
From Christmas through March, the buildings of the Felt Estate are closed for interior cleaning and restoration projects.
The grounds, however, are open year-round!
Bundle up and enjoy a beautiful hike through Felt’s original trails through the dunes in Shore Acres Township Park and Saugatuck Dunes State Park. You will be sure to appreciate the 250,000 trees Felt planted during his years on The Estate, and keep an eye out for the original concrete foundations of Felt’s nine windmills along the south ridge, which powered the mansion and moved water for his irrigation system.
