Leave a Legacy

When community members donate their records or possessions to the Friends of the Felt Estate, we know they want them to be preserved and shared into the infinite future. That is why the Friends of the Felt Estate is making an investment into the longevity of our organization. We are excited to launch the Felt Estate Endowment Fund at the Holland/Zeeland Community Foundation, a secure fund for those who choose to include the Friends of the Felt Estate in their estate plan.

Any estate gift we receive will be put into the Friends of the Felt Estate Endowment Fund at the Holland/Zeeland Community Foundation. When you include the Zeeland Historical Society in your estate plan, you are ensuring that Laketown’s and the Felt Mansion’s history lives on so future generations know our community’s story and origins.

You are also investing in the future of Laketown Township and West Michigan. Studies show that towns with historical assets not only add cultural value, but also economic. The preservation of historic structures, the growth of heritage tourism, and the impact of community programs all provide economic benefits.

Do you have the Friends of the Felt Estate Endowment Fund in your estate plan? If you have not included us, please consider the Friends of the Felt Estate Endowment Fund when you are doing your estate planning.

You can begin by talking with an attorney, an accountant or your financial advisor.
