The carriage house
The Carriage House was built in 1919 as part of the original Shore Acres Farm. It originally housed Dorr Felt’s many automobiles and the second floor was the living quarters for the caretakers of the estate. The exposed brick walls, wood beams, and expansive doors of the Carriage House provide a rustic and intimate setting for your rehearsal dinner, welcome party, or gathering.

Carriage House Rental
The Carriage House and adjacent tent can accommodate 100 guests. The main floor has wheelchair accessible restrooms, a catering kitchen, and an event room that opens onto the tent and the patio. The second floor has suites for wedding parties to dress and prepare, or for overnight accommodations.

You will find the wedding gazebo nestled at the edge of Saugatuck State Park. You and your partner can exchange vows surrounded not only be friends and family, but by the beautiful forest and local wildlife.
The gazebo area provides enough space for up to 100 people and can be adorned with draped fabric, greenery, and candles to add your own personal touch. The gazebo is included with the rental of the Carriage House.
Accomodations
The Carriage House can accommodate up to 12 guests in three bunkhouse-style rooms. There are four half baths and two showers, as well as a kitchenette with refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and coffee pot. The Carriage House is great for large families or wedding parties looking for a place to crash after a full day of celebrating.
