The chapel

at Shore Acres

In 1927 Dorr and Agnes’s daughter Dorothea was the first bride to have her wedding at the estate. Before gathering at the estate to celebrate with family, the ceremony was held at Gibson Church, a little white country church about two miles northeast of the Felt Estate. In 2010 the church was moved onto the estate and is now known as the Chapel at Shore Acres.

The perfect backdrop

The Chapel is built in the simple, classic style of the “old white country church”, and with its original fixtures, is a timeless setting for your ceremony. The refinished pews inside seat approximately 70 people. Placed in the serene setting of Shore Acres Park, the chapel also provides a beautiful backdrop for outdoor ceremonies of up to 250 people.
